GIC, based in New York's Capital District, has designed an automated, self-serve "Guest Information Center" (GIC) for the hospitality industry. GICs are placed in the lobby of hotels to assist their guests in finding information about the local area such as restaurants, entertainment, business services, etc. Information can be printed and includes a description of local businesses, a map with written directions from the hotel to the selected business, tear sheets such as menus and coupons. Management Information Data (MID) is available to track activity on the GIC.

GIC recently completed an installation of their first GIC in the Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY, and followed with an installation at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Schodack, NY.

Software is under constant development with the next release to include the ability to print airport boarding passes.

The GICs are easy to use with a simple touch of a button on the touch screen monitor. Two main factors of its success are simplicity of usage coupled with a wide variety of information available to the guests.
